Scaffolding Awareness (MCS-TR-HSE-20)

 

Target Group
This programme is designed to those personnel required to perform work on scaffold


Prerequisites
 ITEMS TO BRING: All delegates must bring Photographic I.D. and PASSPORT only (original
or copy)
 HEALTH: All delegates will be asked to complete a medical questionnaire prior to course
commencement.

Training Objectives
  • The aim and objectives of the Working at Height training programme is to provide personnel with the essential theoretical knowledge and practical skills to allow him to assess and if safe
    undertake working at height duties

Course Duration – 1 Day

Course Content Examination and Certification

Delegates will receive theoretical and practical knowledge in the following areas:

Introduction
Scaffold types and components
Potential hazards associated with the erection, use and dismantling of scaffold systems
Common terms used within the scaffolding industry
Common hand signals
Scaffolding pre-use considerations
Soil preparation and mudsills
Fall protection equipment requirements
Inspections and tagging
Emergency Preparedness requirements for scaffold work
Instruction and training



  • Certification for `Awareness on Scaffolding' - will be issued on successful completion of
    the training programme. The validity of the certificate is two years.
