Target Group
This qualification is for learners who has the responsibility for conducting risk assessments and for those who endeavors to for further develop themselves a Risk Assessor

Prerequisites
 ITEMS TO BRING: All delegates must bring Photographic I.D. and PASSPORT only (original
or copy)
 HEALTH: All delegates will be asked to complete a medical questionnaire prior to course
commencement.

Training Objectives
  • This qualification is aim to further equipped with the more significant knowledge and more relevant skills for those who function as a workplace Risk Assesor
  • Objectively it covers the principles of risk assessment, the relationship between hazard and risk and requires learners to use the knowledge learned on the course by undertaking a risk assessment, therefore laying a foundation for further development as a risk assessor.

1.4 Legislative or legal provisions relating to Risk Assessment
1.5 Enforcement of Health and Safety legislation and corresponding penalties for non-compliance

2. Understand the principles involve in Risk Assessment
2.1 Meaning of Risk Assessment
2.2 Competencies of a Risk Assessor
2.3 Sources of information and advise for conducting workplace assessments
2.4 Stages of Risk Assessment
2.5 Requirements for recording, monitoring, reviewing and revising workplace assessments

3. Understand the relationship between hazards and risk in relation to:
3.1 Formulation of prevention strategies for accident and ill-health
3.2 Utilize accidents and ill-health records to target the hazards and control risks
3.3 Describe factors affecting the level of risk from hazarsds at work
3.4 Identify range of related health and safety hazards in varied workplace settings
3.5 Outline who maybe at risk of workplace related hazards

4. Apply the hierarchy of controls to control risk to an acceptable level



  • The qualification is assessed via multiple-choice examination and practical assessment
  • All successful students will be awarded with a Risk Assessment Certificate, detailing their qualification and validity
