Target Group
This program is designed to address the basic training requirements and the skills required for
an individual to perform the duty as a competent Fire Watch.
Prerequisites
Attendance on this training programme is open to delegates who have a valid Basic Fire
Fighting certificate in which the principles of combustion, fire spread and fire extinguishment
have been taught.
ITEMS TO BRING: All delegates must bring Photographic I.D. and PASSPORT only (original
or copy)
HEALTH: All delegates will be asked to complete a medical questionnaire prior to course
commencement.
Training Objectives
- The purpose of this course is to define the roles and responsibilities of all personnel with
specific duties relating to fire watch. This involves the preparation of a work area, monitoring of
the work, fire safety awareness and use of first aid firefighting equipment.
